Gas prices in Chautauqua County are up slightly this week, heading into the July 4th holiday weekend. The AAA's Fuel Gauge reports the average price this week is up a fraction of a penny from $2.95 to $2.956 per gallon. Meanwhile, the national average for regular unleaded is now about $2.77. AAA says despite rising prices over the past several months, drivers are poised to pay the lowest prices for gas over the 4th of July holiday weekend in at least five years.
