A two-vehicle rollover accident on Routes 5 and 20 in the Town of Hanover on Saturday resulted in minor injuries to passengers in both vehicles. An investigation by Chautauqua County Sheriff's officers revealed that 47-year-old Mitchell Minchen of Cheektowaga was traveling west around 5:00 PM and attempted to turn left into a parking lot, failing to yield the right of way to the eastbound traffic. This resulted in another vehicle T-boning the passenger side of Minchen's vehicle, causing it to roll over. All the passengers in both vehicles were taken to Lake Shore Hospital and treated for minor injuries. Minchen and the other driver were also taken to Lake Shore Hospital for evaluation. Minchen was charged with failure to yield the right of way. The accident resulted in one lane shutting down for about 45 minutes. State Police assisted at the scene.
