The National Weather Service is continuing a Wind Advisory until 11 am for parts of Western New York including Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and southern Erie counties. Southeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are possible. Bob Hamilton is a meteorologist with the Buffalo Weather Service office.
Hamilton-Extending wind advisory
Hamiliton says the winds may be strong enough to bring down a few large branches and cause isolated power outages. The winds will also make travel difficult for high profile vehicles. The strongest winds will be near Lake Erie and across the higher elevations.
