Glare from sunlight is believed to have contributed to a motorcycle accident that sent a 51-year-old man to the hospital on Saturday. The crash occurred around 6:30 PM on Salisbury Road, near the intersection with Fluvanna-Townline Road in the Town of Ellicott. According to State Police, the man from Bemus Point was traveling west when he failed to stop at a stop sign due to glare from the sun. The man suffered leg injuries and was taken to an area hospital by Starflight. Ellicott Police and Gerry firefighters also responded to the scene.
