A Fredonia woman is in the Chautauqua County Jail after getting arrested twice on Sunday. The first arrest took place shortly after 1:15 AM, when Chautauqua County Sheriff's officers pulled over a vehicle on Route 60 in the Town of Pomfret for having an insufficient taillight. An investigation found the driver, 39-year-old Brenda Hegner of Porter Road, to be intoxicated. Hegner was processed, then released to a sober party. As soon as she was released, Hegner allegedly became disorderly and threw items at deputies, then began resisting when she was placed under arrest again. She was arraigned in Pomfret Town Court on charges of DWI, insufficient tail lamp, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and 2nd-degree harassment.
