Some residents across the Southern Tier woke up to see a significant amount of lake effect snow on the ground this morning. There was an unofficial report of seven inches of the white stuff in Cassadaga. Meanwhile, the highest official snowfall totals recorded by the National Weather Service were over in Cattaraugus County, with a total of three inches falling overnight in Perrysburg and Little Valley.
