Upstate New York continues to lose population according to the latest Census Bureau data. In 59 of the 62 counties, more people left than arrived from other parts of the state or country. And 13 counties posted population losses large than 2 percent, including Chautauqua County. According to Census Bureau figures, Chautauqua County lost over 2,800 people between 2010 and 2014. That's a loss of 2.11 percent. The County's estimated population count is just over 132,000.
