A Dunkirk man was arrested on drug-related charges after an incident at the Chautauqua County Office Building in the city. Dunkirk Police responded to the corner of Central Avenue and 3rd Street shortly after 4:00 PM Friday after getting a report of suspicious activity and a male subject, who appeared to hide something near the doorway of the building before going inside. Police found about $1,000 worth of crack cocaine concealed in a drain hole, packaged for sale. A short time later, the subject -- 41-year-old Jahmaul Johnson -- exited the building and was seen acting suspiciously and looking around the area before walking towards the drain hole and reaching down inside it to pick up the drugs. Officers arrested Johnson without incident and charged him with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
