Two people are facing several charges after Jamestown Police attempted to locate a suspicious vehicle where one of the occupants reportedly had a gun. Police say the department's K-9 unit located the vehicle in question and tried to stop the driver, 24-year-old Allen Burnett Jr. of Buffalo for a traffic infraction. This led to a to pursuit up 7th Street to Liberty Street where three men jumped out of the car and took off on foot. Police located a semi-automatic rifle with a fully loaded magazine in the vehicle. The K-9 Unit was able to track down Burnett, taking him into custody. A second suspect, 25-year-old Laval Johnson of Jamestown was found in an apartment on Prendergast Avenue. Both are facing several charges including criminal posession of a weapon and obstructing governmental administration.
