County Home still on track to sell by December 31st

County officials still expect the closing of the sale of the Chautauqua County Home to be completed before December 31st...but county lawmakers had to approved an emergency resolution that would have the county continue to operate the Dunkirk area facility should the closing not happen by the end of the year.  County Executive Vince Horrigan says legislators had to take the action as a precaution.

The County Legislature approved the sale of the County Home to VestraCare for $16 million earlier this year.
