The Chautauqua County Legislature is back to having 19 members. Legislators last night approved the appointment of Paul Whitford of Jamestown to fill the District 13 seat held by Paula DeJoy who resigned in October. The vote was unanimous. Whitford is looking forward to the new job, although he says there is a learning curve.

Whitford served several years on the Jamestown City Council before resigning earlier this month. He says that housing and economic development are his main concerns as he fills out the remainder of the two-year term on the Legislature.
