A total of 268 people attending two forums the PSC held in Fredonia yesterday on a proposed natural gas pipeline for the Dunkirk repowering project. NRG Gas is proposing an 11.3 mile project while National Fuel Gas is proposing 9.5 mile route. State Senator Cathy Young and Assemblyman Andy Goodell were among the speakers at last night's session. Goodell says they need to get the project moving.

Young says she would like to see the PSC work with both companies to try to reach an agreement. She says any delays would jeopardize the Dunkirk repowering project. John Warren of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation says local community needs the project to move forward as quickly as possible.
