NRG Energy Inc has responded to a lawsuit filed by two enviromental groups against the state Public Service Commission that approved the repowering of the Dunkirk plant from coal to natural gas. WDOE News has received a copy of a 12-page response filed Monday by attorneys for NRG. In the response, the company says, "the groups have failed to present substantial evidence to support their contentions that the commission committed an error of law or fact, or that any new circumstances exist."
