A Jamestown woman has been accused of animal cruelty for allegedly causing serious injury to a kitten last night on North Main Street. Jamestown Police responded to the call at 916 North Main Street around 7 pm and were told the tenant in one apartment allegedly grabbed another person's kitten and violently threw it to the ground. The animal was seriously hurt and sent to a veterinarian for emergency treatment. Officers have charged 56 year-old Mary Butler with overdriving - torturing and injuring an animal. She was taken to the city lock-up pending arraignment.
