Dunkirk man accused of firing weapon from residence

A 30-year-old Dunkirk man is facing charges after he allegedly fired a weapon from a residence on Route 5 in the town of Dunkirk on Tuesday.  State Police in Fredonia say that Alan Will allegedly fired one 12 gaugue round from the second story window into the ground below while there were people in the yard and children in the residence.  Will has been charged with two counts of reckless endangerment 1st, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and violating an enviromental conservation law of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence.  Will was arraigned in Pomfret Town Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
