A Silver Creek man and woman accused of posing as Humane Society personnel at a property on Chapin Road last week are now facing trespassing charges. State Police in Fredonia say that 44-year-old Kelly and 34-year-old Robert Shumaker were looking at a horse inside a barn on the property. Troopers say that Kelly Shumaker told them she worked for the Humane Society in New Jersey and was there to remove the horse. Further investigation determined that the Shumakers did not have any connection to the Humane Society.
