Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that 81 school districts and community based organizations across the state will receive nearly $340 million in funding for full-day Pre-K programs and two school districts in Chautauqua County will receive a share of the funding. Silver Creek Central will pick up $180,000 and Sherman Central $108,000. The funding is the first first installment as part of the State's commitment to invest $1.5 billion over five years to build a Statewide Universal Full-Day Pre-K program.
