Legislature to Submit Resolutions to Increase Fund Balance and Improve Chautauqua Lake

The resolution comes as the sale of the County Home in Dunkirk is expected to be completed by the end of this year. The other major agenda item deals with a $300,000 grant for projects on Goose Creek in order to reduce the amount of sediment that flows into Chautauqua Lake. Ahlstrom says the project would "straighten out" the meandering creek and reduce "thousands of tons of sediment" that flows into Chautauqua Lake. Tonight's meeting of the Chautauqua County Legislature begins at 6:30 in Mayville.
