My WDOE person of the day is Sandy Bain    Did you miss Dan Palmer Sports?  Here is the latest report .          In high school baseball, Fredonia defeated Salamanca 8-0 as Ashton Putney tossed a 1 hitter and went 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and triple .  In girls track, Fredonia defeated Dunkirk 106-23 with Mariella winning 3 events while the Dunkirk boys track team downed Fredonia 93-41.  In golf, the Fredonia boys won twice over Dunkirk and Cassadaga but Dunkirk's Robert Kozlowski was medalist with a 34.    Ryan Kelly, Tucker Merritt and Grant Abbey led Fredonia as all three golfers shot a 42.  The Cassadaga Valley Girls beat Fredonia in golf with Jocelyn Wintersteen shooting a 41.                   My WDOE High School Athlete of the day is Mariella Russo of the Fredonia track team.                                                   Our WDOE high school players of the week for the period 4/8/24 through 4/13/24 include            Doug Kaltenbach and Randy Anderson Chautauqua Sports Hall Of Fame Show                            WDOE's Dan Palmer
