There will be a Benefit Jamboree to show our support for our troops on active duty. We are asking the public and local business' to contribute to this cause whether it be a donation of something to raffle off or bring something we can send to the troops. the date of the event is Aug 14th and it will begin at 1:00. Arkwright Town Picnic, Saturday, August 7, 2010. Open to the public. At the Cassadaga American Legion Grounds on the corner of Bard and Burnham Rd. There will be a pig roast, hot dogs, sausage, coffee, tea, and soda pop provided, please bring your own table setting and a dish to pass. New this year will be a pictures of Arkwright photo contest with prizes and a 1 dollar per photo entry fee with a maximum of 3 photo entries per person. There will be a Pie and Cake contest with prizes and a 1 dollar entry fee. Live music, kids games, horse drawn wagon rides raffles and fun for all.

Post 434 will be hosting it's 5th Annual Cruise-In on Sunday, August 15th. Registration per car is $5, and all proceeds benefit local scholarships as well as community projects & services. Car show runs from noon until 4pm. All are welcome. Please contact 326-4136 for further information.
