April 2024
Fiber Arts Meetup Forming in Fredonia
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Beginning on Tuesday, April 9, Jessica Lustig and Barb Albert will hold a bi-weekly fiber arts meetup on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 6-8 PM. The group will meet at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua, located at 222 Temple Street in Fredonia. Join us for help (or just company) with sewing repairs; work on a quilt square towards a quilt for donation; crochet, knit, or weave. In April, keeping with the theme of Earth Month, Lustig will provide patterns to make a quilt square out of scrap fabric or garments too worn to continue their life as clothing. If you prefer, bring something from your closet that needs mending or alteration to put it back into useful circulation and out of the landfill. Don’t know how to do that? Jessica can help you figure that out! Of course, if you would just like companionship while you work on your own projects, that’s fine too! At the very least we can offer each other moral support! All are welcome and no experience is needed. All ages, affiliations, and abilities welcome. A free will donation will be accepted. Parking is located at 222 Temple Street. Please follow the driveway and park in the lower lot behind the building. Handicapped parking is located between the two buildings and directly behind the second building. Please note that there is no street parking available on that part of Temple Street. Questions may be directed to 716 679-7944, or use the Contact form at www.uucnc.org.
