The State of our Lake!
Saturday, June 9 2018 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Floating just above and below the water’s surface, many aquatic plants exist within Chautauqua Lake. To a boater’s dismay, many of these “weeds” form thick mats and create a tangled mess within a boat’s propellers. Some of these plants are natural, while many of them were introduced and have been wreaking havoc on both the recreational and environmental aspects of Chautauqua Lake. On June 9th from 12:00-1:00pm, join Roger Tory Peterson Institute’s Elyse Henshaw as she discusses these weeds and highlights the invasive species that threaten this valuable water resource. This event will take place at the Long Point State Park Marina and coincides with National Marina Day. For more information contact Amelia Staver at (716) 386-3165 x208 or email at [email protected]
