Fragile Earth Film Series to Hold Second Event
Sunday, January 14 2018 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
The Fragile Earth Film Series Task Group of the Social Action Committee from the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua will present a short film introduction to extreme weather and climate crisis refugees on Sunday, January 14, at 2 pm at the Fredonia Technology Incubator on Central Avenue in Dunkirk. This will be followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Dr. Leanna McMahon. Panelists will include refugees who fled the devastation caused by 2017 hurricanes in Puerto Rico. There will be an opportunity for attendees to submit questions regarding this humanitarian crisis for discussion by the panel. This event is free and open to the public. The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua is a liberal religious community devoted to promoting individual spiritual development, working toward peace, liberty and justice in our immediate and global communities, and providing companionship on life’s sacred journey. Our worship services are held each Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Grange Hall, 58 W. Main St. Fredonia.
