On Wednesday, September 20th, the Kiwanis Club of Westfield-Ripley will host an educational and informational meeting about Kiwanis. The meeting will be held at Eason Hall in the North Room from 5:00-7:00 PM. We will be serving hot dogs and hamburgers, chips, soda, and water to enjoy while we educate and inform. Our agenda will be as follows:
-What is Kiwanis? We will discuss the nature of the organization as an educational servant leadership organization.
-Why Kiwanis? We will try and focus on the autonomy of Kiwanis in the community while still participating in global initiatives.
-What is in Kiwanis for me? An informal networking program that builds friendships and camaraderie while serving the children of the community and the neediest of the community at the same time.
-What is the Kiwanis family? We will talk about all of the Kiwanis-sponsored leadership programs for all ages.
-What am I committed to do?
Along with many other questions. We will have members there to help answer questions. We will also discuss our participation in disaster relief, such as our current collection for victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
