Community Invited to Write Letter of Support to Troops
Monday, July 24 2017 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
As part of the summer reading program “Build a Better World” Anderson-Lee Library in Silver Creek has planned an evening of letter writing to deployed troops veterans, new recruits, and first responders. Following guidelines issued by the organization Operation Gratitude, members of the community are invited to show their support by writing thank you notes and letters or producing art work. Children’s hand drawn pictures are especially cherished by our troops, especially when so far away from home. Materials and snacks will be provided. All ages are invited to the library on Monday, July 24 at 6:30pm to create these notes and pictures. Registration is encouraged but not necessary. Just come on by if you can at the last minute! For more information, call the library at 934-3468 or stop by 43 Main Street in Silver Creek. You can also see the full schedule of events for the summer months by visiting www.andersonleelibrary.org or liking us on Facebook.
