The specter of addiction hangs heavy over Chautauqua County. Every day brings more reportsof a loved one losing their life to substance abuse. Many want to help, but don’t know where to start.
On May 11th, Fredonia First United Methodist Church is hosting a “Clean, Sober & Saved” training presentation. Created by Tracy and Darryl Strawberry of Strawberry Ministries, “Clean, Sober & Saved” is biblical, Christ-centered plan to help those affected by addiction. Pastor Brett
Heintzman will lead an evening of Q & A, discussion about how this program works, and information on how you can become a facilitator and help those in need.
“Clean, Sober & Saved” is currently being used across the country in rehab units, jails, homeless shelters, churches, social service agencies and many other locations. Training goes beyond simply teaching the content, giving would-be facilitators insight into group dynamics, group facilitation and the necessary guidance to help participants modify their behavior and transform spiritually.
The presentation is free of charge. Agency Directors, Law Enforcement, Drug Court Officials, Jail/Hospital Chaplains, Rehab nurses and medical staff, Shelter operators, Pastors, Outreach Ministry Coordinators, and anyone whose work or passion is connected with help and hope for those affected by addiction are invited to attend.
