"Forward Thinking, Forward Movement: Applying Creativity and Innovation to Community and Economic Development." Creativity was identified by the World Economic Forum as the one of the most important skills in leadership and in the workforce. At this event, learn why and HOW we can all think and act creatively in our workplaces, our schools, our government, our community, or in our own lives. The guest speaker and facilitator is Dr. Roger Firestien, Senior Faculty at the International Center for Studies in Creativity and Co-Director of i4 Studio - Buffalo's Idea Lab. Dr. Firestien is world-renowned as one of the most experienced and skills facilitator in creativity and the Creative Problem Solving process. With a client list of over 600 businesses and organizations worldwide, he has a proven track record of helping them achieve creative breakthroughs by teaching them skills to unleash their own creativity and creative problem solving.

Following the main program, Dr. Firestien will facilitate a breakout session where participants can "try on" the Creative Problem Solving process on a real-life challenge. Space for this session is limited and pre-registration is required.

To thrive in the 21st century, we need both a mindset and skillset that are open to change and new thinking. We CAN learn, as individuals and organizations, to be proactive and create opportunities - and solutions - that are truly collaborative and creative to make our community and economy stronger!

Registration begins at 8:00 AM. Main program is 8:30 AM - 10:00 . Breakout session is 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is required for the breakout session.
