11th Annual Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
On Tuesday September 21, 2010, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Western PA/West Virginia will be hosting the 11th annual Light the Night Walk in Erie, PA. Light the Night is a nationwide evening event to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. The 1.5 mile parade helps support our mission to raise funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma while improving the quality of life of patients and their families. The walk will take place in Jerry Uht Park and will begin at 7:30 p.m, preceded by registration and a pre-walk celebration (including entertainment, music, and refreshments) at 5:30. There is not registration fee for the walk, but we encourage everyone to try to raise $25 for the cause. Walkers who raise $25 will receive an illuminated red balloon to carry during the walk to show their support. Walkers who reach higher fundraising levels will receive additional prizes. Free Music Class at 10 am on September 8
Free Trial Music Class for babies to kindergartners and their caregiver. Presented by Growing with Music Together. Songs, movement, chants and instrumental jam session make up this 45 minute class. No musical ability necessary

Kidney Disease topic for September HealthQuest
Wednesday, September 8, 2010 @ 7:00 pm At this month’s presentation Ms. Fafinski will discuss how your kidneys work, including commonly asked questions. How is kidney disease detected? What are the treatment choices? What are the warning signs and symptoms? Does insurance cover treatments? What are the diet restrictions? What you can do to prevent disease from progressing. This free presentation is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are encouraged, but not required. Westfield Quilters' Guild Quilt Show
The Westfield Quilters' Guild is having a Quilt Show on Friday and Saturday, September 10, 11, 2010 from 1am-5pm and Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 12-4pm. The show is entitled The Fabric of our Lives. Quilts, wall hangings, a quilter's challenge, raffle quilt, vendors, quilt appraisals, door prizes, guild cookbooks and refreshments will be available. Carnival for Kids - Pirates Invade Hawaii
September 11th 2:30pm-7:30pm benefit for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. There will be food, kids games, raffles and a prize for the best dressed pirate. Parents must attend the event with their kids.

Youth bowling registration
Lucky Lanes Junior Bowlers registration for the 2010-2011 season will be held on September 4th (Saturday), 11th (Saturday), and 12th (Sunday) at Lucky Lanes. Registration for each day will be from 10am until 2pm. All new and returning bowlers must register for the upcoming season. The cost of registration is $17.00. 2nd Annual Ripley Community Day
Ripley Community Day - Sept 12, 2010 - 10am-4pm at the Ripley Firemen's Field located at the end of Park St in Ripley, NY. Community Day will consist of a Chicken BBQ, a Corn Roast, area crafters and organizations. There will be a $100 gift card to Schwan's given away that day.
