A Fredonia man is facing drunk driving-related charges after a traffic stop in the Town of Pomfret. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 20 for a traffic violation just before 3:30 AM Sunday. An investigation found that the driver, 26-year-old Matthew Smith, was allegedly intoxicated. Smith was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, and failure to keep right, and he is scheduled to appear in Pomfret Town Court at a later date.
