Two men from southern Erie County are facing charges following a traffic stop in Irving. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction on Routes 5 and 20 just after 12:30 AM Sunday. An investigation revealed that 24-year-old Patrick Swan of Derby had an active bench warrant out of the Town of Hamburg. Deputies also found that 20-year-old Adam Schichtel of Farnham was allegedly in possession of marijuana. Swan was turned over to the Hamburg Police Department. Schichtel will appear in Hanover Town Court on a charge of unlawful possession of marijuana.
