Fredonia and Dunkirk suffer blowout losses...a clean bill of health for the Bills' game against the Raiders...and the Yankees upend the Pirates with a late rally.  More details from Greg Larson on today's Saturday Sports Update...

Saturday Sports Update

Top: Defense and special teams was the name of the game in Friday's high school football clash between Fredonia and Southwestern at the Orange Bowl.  For Southwestern, the defense created four turnovers, including a fumble recovery by Brayden Patton (left), who ran it back for a 53-yard touchdown in the 2nd quarter.  The Trojans also had two special teams touchdowns in the first 1:51 of the game to propel themselves to an early 14-0 lead, which they never relinquished.  Fredonia did have a few big plays in their 48-18 loss; one of them came courtesy of senior Jameson Quinn (right), who ran back a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown.  Photos by Greg Larson

Bottom left: The good news for the Buffalo Bills is that they have a clean bill of health for the second week in a row.  No players are listed on their injury report for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders after the team's practice on Friday at Highmark Stadium.  The question is...will Josh Allen and company clean up the turnovers that cost them against the New York Jets?  Photo by the Buffalo Bills

Bottom right: It was supposed to be a game-ending double play and a Yankees loss.  However, an attempt at a double play off the bat of Anthony Volpe with one out in the top of the 9th inning turned into a throwing error and two runs scored, including the go-ahead run.  New York went on to defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-5.  Photo by USA Today
