Sunday Sports Update
Top: After a lackluster effort in last week's loss at Pittsburgh, the Buffalo Bills put forth a much better effort on Saturday in Chicago. The Bills amassed 173 total rushing yards in a 24-21 win at Soldier Field, with Darrynton Evans (left) getting 35 of those yards on a touchdown run early in the 4th quarter. Meanwhile, tight end Quintin Morris (right) scored a touchdown on a 29-yard pass from Kyle Allen in the 2nd quarter. The backups took over after the offense played just one series, which produced a touchdown. The preseason is now in the books for the Bills, who can now look forward to their regular season opener against the New York Jets on September 11th. Photos by the Buffalo Bills

Pitching was not an issue for the Bronx Bombers; it was a lack of hitting, which has been their trend for several weeks. The last-place Yankees managed only two hits as they lost by a 3-0 score. Bottom right: Buffalo Sabres fans will have an opportunity today to come out to the KeyBank Center this afternoon to remember the late Rick Jeanneret, who passed away on August 17th. There will be a special tribute called "Remembering R.J.: The Man Behind the Mic," beginning at 5:00 PM. The event will feature roundtable conversations with broadcasters and Sabres alumni, who will share stories of the man who was the voice of the Sabres for 51 years. File photo
